Some accounts may show completed verification steps where those features are available. A completed step is not proof of identity, yacht ownership, qualifications, or listing accuracy. Independently confirm that the person, yacht, and documents match the offer before you commit.
Reputation
In the current version, no public reputation score is shown. Build a practical picture from complete profile details, consistent yacht information, clear photographs, the person’s sailing background, and how openly they answer specific questions. Treat missing, contradictory, or rushed answers as a reason to pause.
Direct Contact
Communication is direct between users. CharterBnB does not negotiate or enter into the deal for either side. Use the support contact page to report suspected abuse or misleading content. A report does not make CharterBnB a party to the transaction, and support does not mediate the deal or guarantee recovery. Keep important dates, prices, responsibilities, and decisions in writing.
Safe Practices
- Confirm the route, dates, expected weather limits, guest and crew roles, included costs, and emergency contacts.
- Before departure, verify the captain’s documents, identity, and qualifications, and confirm that the yacht documents match the vessel.
- Do not send money without a signed direct agreement with the owner or operator, and do not accept pressure to pay before essential details are clear.
- Keep copies of the listing, messages, agreement, payment record, any identification records you are lawfully entitled to retain, and the trip plan. Store sensitive records securely and delete them when they are no longer needed.
- Tell a trusted person the yacht name, departure point, route, dates, and emergency contact.
- Stop the arrangement and use the reporting route above if an account, document, payment request, or last-minute change appears suspicious.
